Leon Jenkins is a 1976 Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, and a masters of science degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Leon Jenkins retired from the U.S. Army in 1998 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel following 22 ½ years of distinguished service in far away places such as Germany, Korea, and Southwest Asia. He has received numerous military awards including the Bronze Star Medal for service with distinction in the 1991 Gulf War, and Legend of Merit for overall military service. He also was recognized as an “Outstanding Young Men of America” in 1987.
He served as Admin & Finance Administrator at his local church for 9 years, and now fully gives of his time, talents and treasures as a deacon and active member of several ministries. He is also co-owner of Chancellor Healthcare Institute, Inc., President/CEO/Chair of Bethel’s Place Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc., an adjunct business professor for Concordia University, and assistant treasurer (former president) of Men for Change, Inc.
Dr. Margaret Allen
Dr. Allen is owner of Amazing Smiles, PLLC, a dental practice with offices in Sugar Land and Houston. She obtained a degree in biology from the University of Houston and a dental hygienist degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center. In 1995 she also graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry.
She began her practice with a group of dentists and during her tenure, she taught dental assistants at the Astrodome Dental Career Center. Her advanced studies include non-extraction orthodontics, Dawson philosophy in cosmetic dentistry, and a preceptorship on implants. She volunteered with a youth summer program for several years, performed basic dental treatment, educated and introduced dentistry as a career.
She is a part-time instructor for dental assistants and serves on the Board of Directors for Astrodome Dental Career Center (ADCC). She is also a member of Texas Dental Association (TDA) and Charles A. George Dental Society, American Association of Women Dentist, The Othodontic Society, Bethel’s Place Board, the board of Bethel’s Place Black Chamber of Commerce, and Alpha Kappa Alpha-Mu Kappa Omega Chapter
When she is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys shopping, eating and spending time with her family…especially with her BEAUTIFUL daughter Myah Elizabeth.
Marylene Evans is president/CEO of T and M Healthcare, a Houston-based home health management services company specializing in skilled nursing, physical therapy occupational therapy, home health aide, provider services and home health consulting. She is a graduate of Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois a degree in nursing.
Latrell Harris is owner of Harris Carpets and Floors, a Houston-based carpet, flooring, sales, installation, and floor cleaning service company, which has been in business for over 20 years. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education with a minor in psychology from Texas Southern University.
He started his flooring profession as a floor cleaning specialist for a janitorial service in 1980. During this job he obtained numerous certifications as a floor specialist. In 1986, he then worked as a sales representative for a large floor distribution company. His previous work experience and obtained knowledge inspired him to start his own company, Harris Carpet and Floors.
His company holds several certifications and is recognized by the City of Houston (specializing in water damage restoration), Yellow Pages, Angie’s List and more. The company has also, received numerous certificates for their services provided to customers and the community. He is a member of Business Network International (BNI), Better Business Bureau (BBB), and the board of Bethel’s Place Black Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of his company he is an active deacon at his church, devoted father, and a loving husband.

Jennifer Roy is the multi-faceted leader of three health field related companies. She is the Administrator for North American Hospice, Comprehensive Plus Home Health and Precise Private Duty.
After becoming a nurse in 1984 she moved from Louisiana to Houston, Texas to take advantage of the opportunities that a bigger city had to offer. And taken advantage, she certainly has with her leadership, guiding the three aforementioned companies since 1998 to their current profitable positions.
In 2007, she opened Direct Anchor Rehabilitation Services. This company provides therapist to home health agencies to service their patients’ physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs. She has recently added to her business portfolio Green Light Supportive Services, a non-profit entity that meets the medical, transportation and household needs of low income seniors, disabled persons and veterans.
